A newborn enters the world and receive his or her first breath from a pat on the back. The newborn is not aware or concern about his or her surroundings. When the little baby Jesus was born, Mary and Joseph were concern about where he could be born; yet, the location was not as important as the Messiah’s entrance into the world.
As we enjoy interactions with others, good food, and gift sharing, let us remember that the holiday event locations are not as important as the memories we share and make with loved ones. The holiday season is about loving relationships versus material gift exchanges.
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
