Dictionary.com defines a leader as a person that leads. A person who guides or direct a movement, organization, or a political group. According to the general definition of a leader, one does not have to be a CEO, or an elected official. We all have some leadership abilities and skills.
Does that make us true leaders? We must remember that our attitudes, actions, personalities and communication and social skills will illustrate our leadership abilities.

Takes the time to continuously develop his or her leadership skills
Takes Ownership of all choices and decisions rendered
Demonstrates self-control and self-discipline
Motivates, encourages and praises others’ works and accomplishments
Makes decisions based on discernment and knowledge according to faith and values that glorify God
