We joyously proclaim that our God is the Alpha and Omega. He created the stars, moon, earth and every creature that lives. We focus on the beginning of life transition, and ongoing accomplishments. We rest in the assurance that the end-of-life journey, life after death, and freedom from this world drama is rooted upon our faith in the gift of eternal life.
Do we ever stop to dwell on the thought that did our the dash between the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and ending of our earthly journey bring others’ joyous memories of us mimicking Christ? When we attend loved ones’ home-going services, we were asked to give testimonies on how the loved one’s lifestyle choices blessed us.
While we are left behind, let us take every opportunity to be witnesses for Christ. Each day let us commit to letting our “light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). During this holiday season, let us represent Christ with patience as we wait in the long lines, let us reminds others that the reason for the season is the Birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and let us not get caught up in the commercial season by not overspending our budget and being concerned about what gifts we receive versus what we give.
