The African American population can celebrate Black History month each February within the United States of America. We gratefully acknowledge various African American’s contributions to the nations for their contributions. If we stop and think for a moment, We, African American have family members whom we can celebrate, respect, honor, and acknowledge how their lifestyles blessed our family history.
My handsome husband, Byron D. Weems was born on this day. To me and our family, He is a part of Black History month, since this monthly celebration honors and recognizes African American who have impacted their surroundings.
Byron’s love and compassion for Jesus is vividly illustrated through his God-given voice. As a father, he has trained up BJ in the ways he should go. As a son, He has and continues to look after his mother and when his father was alive, he respected, honored, and helped him when needed. As a husband, he is a good provider, spiritual leader, friend, lover, and most of all a God-fearing African American man after God’s own Heart.
If you have or know of any African Americans born within this month and they have highly impacted your lifestyle, honor them, share your testimonies and let them know how much you appreciate them.
Black History month is ongoing, and every day an African American’s lifestyle is making Black History month.
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5: 13-16).
