We are destiny to follow our destiny. Our dreams and goal should be rooted and visual throughout our daily interactions. We energetically tell others that we have a calling, or passion. Yes, we plan and enjoy operating within our God-given-callings. The question to ask ourselves is, do we just have one calling throughout our lifespans? Let us ponder over the following callings, just in case we did not look at them as callings:
Men, our callings include being sons of the most High King, respectful sons to our parents, loving to our sibling, selfless servers to our brothers and sisters, compassionate husbands to our spouses, patients fathers to our children, honest , dependable and faithful servants to our employers, customers, staff members, and employees.
Women, your callings include but not limited to wearing the following hats: helpmeet to your husbands, self-control and discernment when dealings with co-workers, customers, siblings, family members, community workers, and gatekeeper/releasing control when dealing with your children.
Children, your calling include submitting to leadership (parents, teachers, employers, and community leaders), acceptance of your own deeds and word choices, and pursuing your passions, dreams, and goals with tenacity.
Our callings turn into conflicts when we prioritize one over the other and forget that God has anointed us for several callings and in His eyes all our callings (assignments) are important.
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you” (John 15:16).
