We all love our cell phones, since they are considered ready access to be used upon our request. If we are not careful, this modern technology, can ruin our family fun time. While we are feeling more connected to what we are viewing on our phones, we have disconnected with our love ones who are right in front of us.
Suggestive cell phone usage during family time can be implemented as follows:
During dinner engagement we will agree to mute our phone and lovingly engage in conversation (verbally with our family members).
Decide when it is appropriate to talk on our cell phones during our family activities.
Decide when we want to incorporate our cell phones into our family games.
We must decide if we are going to control the cell phone or if we want to allow our cell phone curiosity (what is going on in the world through Facebook, text messages, or YouTube) to control us.
Our cell phones should be used to carry good news, provide assistant when needed, for emergencies, and to further our Spritual and physical growing process.
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” ( Matthew 28: 18-20).
