No one likes being introduce to a virus. The coronavirus, labeled by the World Health Organization (WHO) as COVID-19, is the latest common virus that causes an infection within one’s nose (sinuses), upper throat; yet most coronavirus are not dangerous regardless of how it affects our daily agendas. This disease swiftly travel from China to around the world. Please take note, this virus and most attacks on our immune system implement during fall and winter seasons.
The following symptoms can show up between 2 to 14 days (please be aware that the symptoms resemble a common cold at first): fever, cough, and shortness of breath (mild). More serious symptoms are but not limited to respiratory failure, pneumonia, or septic shock. Since the infection can range from mild to serious, please check with your Spiritual Physician (SP) and Medical Physician (MP).
If we want to maintain a healthy immune system, then we can take the following precautions:
Avoid close contact with people confessing sickness
If we are battling physical health issues, stay home
When coughing or sneezing, cover our mouths with tissue and quickly dispose of the tissue and wash our hands
Follow the following CDC’s recommendation for wearing a facemask.
CDC does not recommend wearing a facemask if you are in isolation.
People who show symptoms of COVID-19 should wear a facemask to protect others from the virus. Facemask should be worn by health workers, and anyone taking care of someone with virus at home or in a health care facility.
