Society is constantly encouraging students to get a credit card, since media proclaims that a credit card will teach the college student the reality of financial education and freedom.
How is this possible? Credit cards can help you establish excellent credit history (if you do not purchase over the limit, make your payments, and purchase during emergency times). Students can build good credit scores. Their credit cards can assist with their future personal and business purchases (mortgage, car, and business loans). Credit cards can assist the students with learning how to become “more fiscally responsible and manage their money better”.
If you are a student looking to establish credit, please check with your Spiritual Physician (SP) and whomever you are lead to confide in to make sure you know the pros and cons of the advantages and disadvantages of owning a credit card. By all means, know your purchase and financial limitations and the interest rates before applying.
