Does my teeth reveal my food intake?

Our food choices reflect our general health and can be visually seen whenever we open our mouths. Our smiles that reveal tooth decay, portrays our ongoing consumption of sugar-filled sodas (pops and fruit juices) and non-nutritious snacks (donuts, candy bars, cupcakes, jolly ranchers).

Note: it is ok to engage in our favorite desserts every once in a while, but not every day all day.

Let makes wise food choices daily:

Drink plenty of water

Select food choices from:

whole grains

fruits

vegetables

lean sources of protein such as lean beef, skinless poultry and fish; dry beans, peas and other legumes

low-fat and fat-free dairy foods
