Healthcare industries remind us that our medical history depends upon our families’ backgrounds and our personal self-cares but mostly from our DNA families’ generation. If we think about our wholistic lifestyles (spirit, soul, and body) healthcare we must reflect upon the following DNA: Spirit-our belief and faith in God or god; Soul-our self-will to choose, mind-thoughts (positive/negative) from self, family members, peers, employees/employers, and society, emotion-based on life situations, circumstances, and emergency necessities; Body-appearance transition to us from our families trees, physical fitness rituals, and brought products. On this DNA journey we can either be a part of the demolition or construction team. To find out which team we voluntarily (personal choice) or involuntarily (not aware), let us ask ourselves the following questions:
1. Do we murmur and complain most of the time?
2. Do we motivate others?
3. Do we gossip?
4. Do we serve others in love?
5. Do we engage in taking selfie most of the day?
6. Do our conversations resolve around ourselves?
7. Do we love, appreciate, and respect others’ individualities?
Remember, we get to “Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:14-27).
Food for Thought
We can walk in God’s DNA and claim all the good qualities and genes from our families’ DNA. Just because our great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents may have been diagnosed and claim to have cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, no mouth control, and lack of faith do not mean we have to accept, acknowledge or proclaim any of it.
