Family times can be fun, adventurous, pleasant and remember able. On the other hand, family nights can be disastrous, boring, frustrating, and conflicting.
Yes, we can all love Jesus, want to be like the Messiah, and still not get along with others.
We have a choice to walk in His image or walk in our selfish-image.
We must remember that family fellowship, is not about self-desires; however, it is about Christlike’s desires and maintaining our self-identity, self-respect, and self-worth in Christ.
How can we do this?
See each other through the eyes of Christ.
Respect each other’s’ personality, and emotional intelligence.
Engage in active listening skills.
Speak to each other in love, with mercy, and in His grace.
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV).
Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I’m very glad to see such excellent information being shared freely out there.
