Regular exercise routines can keep us healthy and prevent illnesses. Aerobic and strength training strengthen our immune systems and fight viral and bacterial infections. The question is should we exercise when battling flu symptoms?
Answer is know your body. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest. Monitor your body temperature. Our immune system works best when it is not in overdrive. Make sure we are giving our bodies a chance to recover. If you have a fever skip your physical work-out; however, we can always engage in spiritual work-out through prayer and meditation.
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV).
