In order to get away from a complex workload, overwhelming lesson plan, and conflicting schedule, we need to maintain a lifestyle of simplicity. Selecting to live a lifestyle of simplicity means less emotional drama, removing stress and allowing us to incorporate rest, fun, and me-time.
This lifestyle of simplicity Is:
Voluntary-it is not forced or involuntary impoverishment. We choose to eliminate drama from every area of our lives: family members, work locations, churches, and friendships.
Free- it allows us to be free from anxiety, frustration, aggravation, and mood swings.
Creative-it allows us to freely use our imagination within our personal and professional lives as we rediscovery our passions or continue to pursue our dreams and goals.
Focus-it allows us to meditate over important areas of our lives. Without focus we may drift into the What If Syndrome.
Disciplined-It allows us to restrain from people, places, and things that detour us from living healthy and fruitful lifestyles.
Healthful- it allows us to live uncluttered and successful lifestyles since we are focused, diligent and disciplined.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly] with your God” (Micah 6:8 NIV).
