This is the season to be jolly, enjoy family and friends, spend money, engage in social parties, and get stressed out.
How can we focus on the real reason for the season, Jesus’ love, and participate in the various family and work-related seasonal activities with inner peace and physical health?
WE CAN:
Spend daily time in prayer and meditation.
Never make a decision without God’s approval.
See this glorious season through our realistic eyesight in Christ versus through expectation eyesight in self-righteousness.
Stay within our limited spending budget, avoid Black Friday or any day sale this is outside of our family spending range.
Get required amount of sleep.
Make healthy food choices. This will allow us to engage in the holiday food festivity. We will commit to eating healthy 90% of the time (fruits, veggies, plenty of water). When the holiday parties arrive, we can enjoy eating sweets and our favorite snacks since we have been eating healthy all week.
Make sure we are engaging in physical activities and toning. This does not include walking or riding to work or school (smile).
Take time out for some me-time (serenity time for self)
Finally, remember we blessed to be a blessing to others.
“You observe days and months and seasons and years” (Galatians 4:10)!
