A blessed household incorporates more than just spring cleaning. Yes, we need to make sure our physical living residents are free from pestilence, environmental dust, room clutters, mildew, unpleasant aromas, negative spoken words, actions and deeds, and unpleasant families’ interactions.
In order to operate within a blessed home, each family member must humbly and willingly agree to disagree in love when entering into conflicts, agree to respect and appreciate each other’s uniqueness, and commit to maintain and keep up with his or her volunteer or assigned house chores. Each family member must be held accountable for his or her own actions, choices, and decisions (freedom of choice). Each family member must accept without excuse and entering the blame game the consequences for their choices (upon reaching the age of accountability).
A household blessing encourages and mandates each family member to walk in self-control and self-discipline as each person grows in God’s grace.
“Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever” (Psalm 112:3).
