How To Handle Negative Thoughts

Ask yourself, should this thought be taken seriously?

  1. Is this thought destructive? Does it cause you to think negative about yourself, family, friends, or the situation that you are in? Let it go.
  2. Is this thought constructive? Does it support your growth and development while minimize friction with the external environment? Focus on this thought as you seek God on what He is trying to tell you.

 

Everything that you say and do begins in your mind. Whatever you think in your heart, manifests in your thought life then transitions into a physical action. In order to be healthy and successful, you must begin to protect your mind from destructive thinking and incorporate new constructive thinking tactics into your everyday living.

“As he thinketh in his heart” (Proverbs 23:7a KJV).
