During this summer season, some of us are enjoying the hot temperatures and some are not. We must remember to maintain our healthy lifestyles during the season of 90-degree temperatures. Our inner health cares (spirit and soul) get daily nutrition through engaging in mindfulness, prayer meditations, emotional checkups and through self-disciplines. Yet, we forget to maintain our physical strength and endurance through hydration.
Why should we stay hydrated?
Our bodies cannot survive without ongoing H2O. Water circulating throughout bodies (cells, tissues and organs) helps us to function properly, wholistic (spirit, soul, and body). The water flowing throughout our bodies help us to maintain its temperature, joint mobilities, and remove toxic.
Suggestive tips for maintaining hydration:
Drink plenty of water.
Monitor your sweat pattern.
Calculate how much water you will need daily. It is suggested eight-ounces glasses, which is about 2 liters, or half a gallon. Factors to take into consideration on water input are our ages, weights, sweat patterns, medications, and fluid restriction by your medical physician (MD).
Check urine color. If dark yellow constantly, try to drink more water. Please notate that vitamins, supplements, and medications can cause one to have dark urine.
Avoid overindulging in alcohol beverages, caffeine drinks and sugar waters/sodas/fruit drinks.
Daily exercise routine requires one to drink water before, during, and after all fitness workouts.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle by staying hydrated helps us to glorify God, respect our bodies and visual show others how to maintain our inward and outward appearance.
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).
