Each person within our family have a leadership role to perform. In order to maintain unity, peace, harmony, appreciation and respect for each family member, we all must agree to disagree in love.
Disagreeing with each other’s leadership style in the area of self-choices just means we do not like each other’s preferred self-choices. Yet, we choose to love and respect their leadership self-choices without offering them our selected leadership choice of judgement.
We will choose to engage in the leadership choice of Automation. This means we will place our desires to help them correct or change their self-choices. We will operate from autopilot, enter into prayer intercessory and allow God to intervene.
This will allow us to operate in corporate leadership: self-denial to judge and help, respect our family member’s self-leadership (unless it is a child or person endangering their lifestyles or the lifestyles of other family members), and wait and respect God’s intervention.
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light” (Colossians 1: 9-12 ESV).
