We always hear someone saying, “before you can lead you must follow”.
That is an interesting statement. If we are leaders would we follow our own leadership? That is a scary assumption; yet everyday we lead ourselves into various situations, circumstances, and relationships.
Our self-leadership is entwined with our self-identity. Our faith and belief values are illustrated through or verbal leaderships, deeds done or left undone, promises kept and commitments left unclaimed. As we are communicating with others through leadership within our personal and professional lifestyles choices what are our actions, words and deeds declaring to God, self, and others?
Are we hiding behind false promises?
Are we overbooking our schedules?
Are we avoiding maintaining physical healthcare?
Are we emotionally drained?
Are we avoiding and ignoring the leadership of the Holy Spirit?
Are we seeking success, financial stability, and people’s approval from self-glorification and self-gratification versus God’s Divine Wellness Plan?
If we want to be successfully significant within our personal and professional leadership roles, our self-identities must be rooted upon Christ the solid rock which is our lifestyles’ foundation declaration.
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalms 18:2 ESV).
