There are some “thy shall” and “thy shall not” mask wearing precautions to take while we are protecting self and others during this challenging season.
Thy shall
Make sure your mask is comfortable and allowing for normal breathing
Make sure your mask is secure behind head with ties or loop that are comfortable and supportive
Make sure the mask is dry and clean and not worn if its label state not reusable
Make sure your nose, mouth, and chin are covered
Make sure you wash your hands before putting on a mask and after taking off the mask
Make a fashion statement and abide by the healthcare guidelines (smile)
Make sure you cleanse the mask after each use
Thy shall not
Touch mask while wearing, if you do, immediately wash your hands (soap and water, not hand sanitizer)
Touch one’s eyes, nose, or mouth when taking off the mask
Wear a face mask that is wet from laundering or from spit or mucus
