The multitask that a mat places within one’s lifestyles are phenomena. When one is ready to meditate, one can engage in yoga. This requires one to use a yoga mat for the task. To decorate our floors or to eliminate back pain while doing dishes, or if we are standing on our feet for more than two hours, we can select to stand on a cushion mat of our color choice. To avoid weather built up within our cars we purchase durable waterproof mats. Yes, mats are very stylish, dependable, and useable. We can cover and protect our household and car floors. While these visual mat coverings are accesses to our physical healthcare, we need to be mindful of the spiritual mats we allow to linger during our daily faith walk.
Holes within our spiritual mats initiate the following negative healthcare diagnoses: mental health awareness, psychological disorders, emotional traumas, and spiritual depressions. We become frustrated and aggravated when we are over worked, under paid, and exhausted. We notice signs of psychological disorders within our self-talk which revolves around self-defeating word choices, negative thoughts, and unhealthy personal and professional decisions. Low-self-esteem awareness results in emotional trauma and spiritual depression. We now have become insecure, lack zeal to pursue our dreams and visions and believe everyone is against us. To get out of this slum, we need to stand on our spiritual mat which is dipped in God’s mercy and grace, is covered under the Blood of Jesus Christ, and is overflowing in God’s love.
“The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; thou saved me from violence. I will call on the LORD who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies” (2 Samuel 22:3-4).
