Are you dwelling on thoughts of past failures or entering the What If Zone?
Ask yourself the following questions:
What are your thoughts in this moment?
What thought keeps lingering in your mind?
As you meditate on that thought, how is it affecting your senses (vision, hearing, touch, and smell)
Within your ability, what can you do to resolve the issue (if there is one)
How is the thought affecting your wellbeing (sleep, health (immune system), energy level and physical activities?)
Finally, is this someone else burdens that you are carrying with sympathy versus empathy?
Let us remember
Sympathy means the feeling of sorrow for the hardships, problems and pain caused to another person
Empathy is when we relate to what another person is going through.
