This strength training and flexibility technique permits one to maintain a tone and strong body. The principles of Pilate remind us to concentrate on the movements and to breathe through the flowing energizing techniques. Since we are growing in God’s grace we must breathe through our daily interactions with others as we flow through our lifestyle choices. Like the Pilate workout is meant to be smooth and soothing, our lifestyle choices should be teachable and acceptable. Our strengthening component within our daily interactions is anchored upon our faith. Before we can enter a Pilate class, we must clear our minds; therefore, we must take every opportunity to focus on the leadership of the Holy Spirit before we enter our daily activity zone. Pilate classes instruct us on how to breathe and move through the postures, on the other hand, our daily Bible meditation prepares us for dealing with calm and uncalm situations and circumstances.
Throughout our week, let us engage in our spiritual Pilate training by taking the time to read and apply God’s word to our ongoing lifestyle choices.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).
