Children enjoy playtime and we as adult enjoy playtime (me-time/intimate time with love ones/social or recreational events). We must remember that playtime means just that. During this time, we must allow ourselves to “enjoy where we are on” and whom we are with “on the road to where we are going” as quoted by Joyce Meyer. During this playtime let us creatively within a respectful environment appreciate the opportunity of solitude or group engagements. If we are playing sports, reading books, engaging in family outings, or attending our churches’ or communities’ picnics let us remember and proclaim
“So eat your meals heartily, not worrying about what others say about you-you’re eating to God’s glory, after all, not to please them. As a matter of fact, do everything that way, heartily and freely go God’s glory. At the same time, don’t be callous in your exercise of freedom, thoughtlessly stepping on the toes of those who aren’t as free as you are. I try my best to be considerate of everyone’s feelings in all these matters; I hope you will be, too” (1 Corinthians 10:31-33, The Message).
Let’s celebrate during playtime.
