“Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16).
A song proclaims that “we need to pray just to make it today” (M.C. Hammer, Pray). Are we forgetting to take our daily dose, supplement, called prayer? Our wholistic lifestyle depends on us as Believers to partake of the spiritual supplement called prayer, which transition into our soul care, and manifest and is transparent through our physical healthcare.
Taking our morning supplementation dose of prayer, equips us to endure, accept, and overcome each days planned and unforeseen situations and circumstances. Taking our noontime supplementation dose of prayer provides us with the courage to forgive and overcome evil with good. Finally, taking our evening supplementation dose of prayer helps us to review our actions and responses to people, places, and things to see and accept our decisions and helps us to choose to detour from responses that did not glorify God, repent, and forgive ourselves and move forward.
Let us not forget to take time out to pray.
