It is the season to spend money. How do we engage holiday shopping free from worrying about if we purchase the perfect gift and if we are overspending?
“Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel” (Philippians 4:6-7 Contemporary English Version (CEV).
Suggestive praying tips:
Offer up ongoing prayers of thanksgiving. We are grateful for the opportunity to bless others through our Christmas shopping. Always this is an ongoing way to thank God for providing the cash flow.
Ask God for wisdom on how to be a good steward over our finances throughout this holiday shopping season.
Pray for sales on items we want to purchase,
Pray for the store owners and their employers.
Pray for shopping safety and traveling grace.
Tomorrow as we enter the malls let us enter and maintain an atmosphere of prayer.
