Our lifestyles will depend on our selective circle of friends, personal opinions of ourselves, and belief systems. This can be considered our “Protective Circle”.
Our “Protective Circle” should provide moral support, constructive criticism, and the freedom to be who we are in Christ.
Protective Circle Check List:
Friendships-Do our friends love and respect our uniqueness? Are they our cheerleaders during our success and failures? Or do their friendship agenda operate from gossip, jealousy, and doubtful of our success route?
Personal Opinions-As we view ourselves within our spiritual and physical mirrors are, we focusing on yesterday’s failures, fear of the unknown, emotional mood swings, or negative thoughts about our physical appearances, educational level, and income status?
Belief Systems-Let us make sure that our faith level is not centered around doubt, fear or self-accomplishments? Each day let us increase our faith through studying, meditating, and proclaiming God’s Word.
“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the LORD who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies” (2Samuel 22:3-4).
