Mindfulness as an antidote permits us to visualize the relationship between you and your mind is as follows: the mind is the speaker, and you as the listener. With this image, we can accept that fact that every thought our minds offer us we do not have to accept or act upon them. We can selectively choose to use or discard the thought in relation to God’s word. The negative mental chatter coming from our minds can be strongholds that we can eliminate. “The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Operating within a quiet mind energizes us to remain in the moment as we serve self and others from a sense of safety self-acceptance, a calm spirit and wellbeing. So take several deep breaths and release the spirit of being a busy body, being restless, fearing failure, and being mood swings by thinking on these thoughts:
