Ring the Bell Through Contentment
“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:11-13 NIV).
Contentment to us as Christians means that we are being obedient to God’s command. We are operating in godliness with contentment. While godliness means that our attitudes please God, we walk in contentment means that we graciously accept the hand that God has given us throughout our daily interaction.
Notice that contentment is not:
Denying our feelings, it frees us from being control by our emotions.
Is not pretending that things are all right with us, it is accepting responsibilities for our negative actions, words or thoughts.
Living lifestyles of complacency, it is moving forward and willingly committing to working tirelessly to succeed in every areas ordained by God.
