“We all enjoy having friends who we can trust, depend on, and who love and accept us as we are.

Can we say that we have and offer the same friendship traits?

Or are we sabotaging our friendship by

Sharing personal information through prayer request, without asking permission.

Not speaking the truth in love, when we feel offended.

Not taking the time out to listen, encourage, or serve our friends.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity” (Colossians 3: 12-14 NIV).
