Before we can move into our new resident, we are required to place within a trust account a sum of money. This guarantees our right to relocate to the new place and prevents the seller, realtor, from selling the home to another buyer.
What security deposit do we have for our earthly journey?
God’s endurance security deposit was provided through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
God’s word provides numerous recipes for us to overcome every lifestyle hinderances. “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
The bible characters reassure us that we can make it through all kinds of trials and tribulations. “And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated of whom the world was not worthy wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth” (Hebrews 11:32-38).
