Strategy 3-Know who or what pushes your button
There are people (like drama kings and queens), places (reunions, jobs) and environments (noisy offices) that we know that we allow to aggravate us. Do we know why? (what is the source of our button). We need to seek God for guidance on how we can develop responses, actions or detours to help us maintain our poise and calm ourselves. Knowing what where and why of the button pusher opens the door to self-management our reasons to what trigger.
Strategy 4-Watch yourself like a hawk
To create positive outcomes to our life challenges, we need to evaluate the challenging situations in which we allow to trigger our emotional responses. This can be done by being mindful of our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors as the situations unfold. Making preparation for the storm (calm before storm) If you know a situation is on the arise beforehand through thru your response.
“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth” (Colossians 3:2).
