Self-care is a lifestyle. It is an ongoing desire and need for us to maintain a wellness balance: spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, physical, mental, financial, and vocational.
Our bodies require:
Regular exercise-at least 30 minutes daily.
Healthy nutrition- eat veggies, fruits, proteins, carbohydrate and some fat (no your limitations).
Rest and relaxation-know how much sleep is required for you each night and try a hobby once a week.
Our minds require:
Thought management-process thoughts, by keeping the ones that glorify God and built us up. Dispose the negative thoughts.
Right priorities-God, family, work, and then ministry.
Strengthen self-identity-knowing who we are in relation to Christ, self, and others
Boundaries require:
Know how much time we have within our week to spend with God, family, work, friends, ministry and self.
“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul” (3 John 1:2 ESV).
