Wikipedia. org defines skin care as “the range of practices that support skin integrity, enhance its appearance and relieve skin conditions”. The question we might ask ourselves every morning, noontime, evening or get asked by others is are we content with our skin care procedures and appearances? We and others can see our skin texture as either too dry or too moist. We forget that skin care treatments may have incorporated seasons in which we engaged in wound healings, radiation therapies and some medications. Historically, skin care was interfaced with cosmetics and dermatology (traditional medical discipline for challenging skin textures).
Darker complexion often avoid sunscreen; however, all skin tones need sun protection factor SPF. It we are not sure of how much is needed, let us check with our Spiritual Physician (SP) and Medical Physician (MP). Please make sure whatever SPF used it coincides with allergies preventions if we have them. We must read the ingredients before purchasing. This sun protection helps us to get our daily dose of Vitamin D while avoiding excessive sunlight, which can cause extreme skin damage.
On the other hand, if we want to achieve a safe sun-based tan, we can try the following suggestions (know your body):
Exfoliate Your Skin-Do this before sun exposure. This permits us to remove dead cells which will even our skin tone since we have removed pore-clogging dirt and oil while preventing acne. Make sure we use the right exfoliate products according to our skin texture, finances, and health issues.
Wear A Sunscreen- SPF lengthens the tanning time frame and helps us to avoid additional skin damage. The higher SPF number will provide better protection against ultraviolet B burning rays (UVB) rays. This will fight against skin cancer.
Do NOT Overexpose Your Skin to The Sun- Want to tan gradually. Let us use our tanning time wisely. If we want a healthy summer glow, we should tan in small dosages.
Wear Your Shades and A Hat-The skin around our eyes and including our eyes are delicate to UV rays. We want to avoid eye disease such as cataract, age-related macular degeneration, and eye cancers
If we choose a tanning salon, make sure to research the company’s creditability, customer services, and employers’/employees’ credentials.
