At times we have to move, react, and proceed with caution. Our traveling pace may be slower than usual. When we accomplish our task or finish our course, we realized that “haste made waste” repeating the journey was unnecessary, and our slow and steady pace resulted in victory versus defeat. Whether our assignment was professional or personal, the outcome was based on our commitment to in faith move forward in spite of obstacles. Entering our fun time with the family this weekend, we must remember social events and relationships are not meant to be rushed through, or to prove or offer our personal opinions. Slow and steady interaction throughout our family time will result in the following benefits:
Less stress within our family engagements
Less confusion and dictatorship
Less need for backbiting, jealousy, and competitive spirits
Increase the reassurance of family love and values
Increase the sharing of compassion and empathy
Increase the pleasure and enjoyment of being with loved ones.
“So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 8:15).
