“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1 NI).
A soldier is a person fighting for something he or she believes in even if it means encountering hardships, relationship turmoil, financial challenges, and overcoming ongoing obstacles.
As we, Christlike believers and followers of His Word, engage in daily activities we must fight a good fight of faith.
How?
We must overcome evil with good, avoid lingering in the spirit of complacent, operate from the spirit of self-discipline, and instantly obey the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
The Soldier of Faith Tool Kit
When doubt and fear arise, yield to “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
When feelings of laziness arise yield to “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth” (Proverbs 10:4 NIBV).
When being persecuted, yield to “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10 NIV).
We can continue our soldier of faith walk in Christ.
