What word describe your thoughts? As we stop and take a breath right now, what thoughts are floating through our heads right now?
Throughout the day, let us stop and take inventory of our thoughts. If need so, change the channel from doubt, hatred, unbelief, and negative self-opinions to the channel that energize one’s thoughts, reminds us of our position in Christ, motivates us to continue to step out on faith, and rewards our acts of love services. Try some of the below brain power exercises for healthy thinking:
Throughout the day, take a five-minute thought meditation. Close your eyes, inhale energizing thoughts (God’s word), exhale detoxing thoughts (mistakes made, relationship conflicts, negative self-images).
In the morning, enhance your soul care by declaring who you are in Christ.
During lunch break, take time out to smell the roses or to listen to some soothing music.
Before bedtime, detox all negative thoughts through prayer.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).
