We all want to maintain a healthy immune system during this stressful season. Before we rush into the pharmaceutical and vitamins sessions, within the stores of our choices, let us make sure we check with our Spiritual Physician (SP) and Medical Physician (MP) and know our strength and weakness within our bodies. We want to make sure we are engaging in physical activities and interacting with others with sufficient versus deficiency of vitamins: A and B.
It is easy to not have enough vitamin A and B. Most time we are rushing and eating unhealthy meals and snacks, which leads to unhealthy diets, fatigue, and emotional drama. Our work and school commitments lead us to spend most of the daylights days indoors (avoidance of much needed sunshine).
Vitamin A helps in creating white blood cells and helps the body fight infections. This vitamin can be found within the following vegetables: spinach, carrots, broccoli and cabbage. It is in dairy products, milk and butter. Also, it is found within the following fruits: apricots, mangoes, and melon.
Vitamin B helps with our bodies’ absorption and functioning. If our bodies do not have enough B12 or B9, the number of antibodies within our system will decrease, which can result in higher infection rate. This means weak immune system and higher risk of catching the flu bug and viruses. Vitamin B can be found in the following foods: asparagus, meats, fish, and avocados. Also, can be found in dairy products: yogurt or milk.
“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat” (Genesis 1:29).
