Who are you standing in the gap for? When we hear of others’ life struggles, disappointments, and health challenges, do we feel an urgency to pray?
The Benefits Received From Standing In The Gap
The benefits of standing in the gap are stress relief, energy booster, and encouragement. We enjoy hearing how someone took the time to pray for us. We feel joy and inspiration when someone offers us words of encouragement. We receive an uplifting email or text message. Our career accomplishments are posted in work or community papers. Let’s take the time to uplift others through prayer, words, and deeds.
Serving Others
Standing in the gap allows us to humbly serve the needs of others. First, the question is: Who are we motivating or encouraging? Next, let’s offer others authentic compliments and encourage them when we see them having a challenging time at work, school, or home. In addition, let’s interact with others with a friendly smile. On the other hand, when we hear gossip or negative comments about people, we choose not to join or respond.
Take a moment and ask yourself? Who have I served recently?
