As we meditate on whose side are we leaning on, we all boldly proclaim that we are leaning on the Lord’s side. In some choices, social events, career moves, and personal interactions we can with confident say that we are leaning on the Lord’s side. The time to test our leaning skills is when life throws us a curve ball: financial debts, health issues, loss of loved ones, unexpected news, and broken relationships. This devastating news can find us drowning in a pool of doubt, despair, emotional trauma, and uncertainty. We need to understand that it is ok to encounter the various mood swings and feelings and thoughts of facing the unknown. After taking a couple of breaths let us lean on the Lord’s side by expressing our feelings to Him, seeking His guidance, and walking into the unknown knowing that we are holding to God’s unchanging hand.
