Tomorrow for those of us who did not vote through mail are given the honor to go and vote. People of all ages are saying: my vote does not matter; the government have already decided who will be elected; I am tired of the political verbal abuse among candidates so may the best one win without my vote.
Yet
The relational way to look at the voting arena is how can we illustrate God’s love through voting?
Our votes collectively can:
Result in better healthcare
Reduce unemployment rate
Increase racism awareness
Voice our concerns
If we choose not to vote, we do not have the right to complain about the political arena.
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” (Proverbs 29:2 KJV).
