How can intimacy with our spouses not detour to be a house chore?

Additional Sexual Seasons

If this season you are pregnant or recently had a baby, please note that after pregnancy you might experience painful intercourse (week or couple of months). This is because of the episiotomies tearing or stress of birth. Please keep the communication channel open between you and your spouse. Watch your emotional state since as a new mother you may feel overwhelmed by the needs of your newborn while guilt feelings manifest over your inability to meet your husband’s sexual needs.

If you have entered the season of sexual prime (between ages of 35 and 45) you can experience sexual fulfillment and your husband will love this season.

If you are in menopause season, which starts around the ages of 45 and up, your body is transitioning through the change of life. This season does not have to be depressing or emotional. Listen to your body rhythm more intimately. Do not expect more that your body can handle. You might have to exclude something off your agenda so that you can fulfill your spouse’s sexual needs.

Regardless of what season you are in, seek God’s guidance on how to fulfill your spouse’s needs and serve him humbly, willingly, and enjoy.

“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones” (Proverbs 12:4 ESV)..
