During battle, the firing or a gun or cannon can be a sound of victory or a shadow of destruction. It will depend of the which end we are on the shooter or the one being shot.
For today’s revelation, we are the shooter.
The goal for shooting is to hit the target.
Before we speak, let us determine the purpose for our targets: self and others.
We get to choose our weapons.
If we shoot with hatred, the target will bleed from our anger, disgust, and hostility.
If we shoot with jealousy, first, the target (ourselves) we will bleed from health issues, resentment and insecurities. Second, the target (others) will bleed from feelings of hurt, rejection, and false projection of a Christian friendship.
If we shoot with love, the target will experience God’s love and trustworthiness. The person will feel secure in a safe place within a safe environment. We as the shooter will glorify God, serve in a spirit of humility and build up our self-worth in Christ.
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear” (Ephesians 4:29).
