As we ponder over the word worthy, let us relate it to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. What is our self-worth opinion? We value, appreciate, and accept others’ self-identity in the area of self-worth. We hear ourselves commenting about others in the following voice: he or she is so talented, they know what they want out of life, that person is glorying in self-confidants, and we tell family members and friends that we are so proud of their personal and professional accomplishments. When it comes to praise and appreciation of our self-worth, we proclaim the following identities: we don’t have the talent, time or finances to pursue our dreams. We can’t celebrate the holiday season like we want due health issues, financial restrains, bad relationships, or lack of people tolerance. Let us not focus on our unworthiness in relation to past failures, debt ratios, or failed relationships. This holiday season let us see our worthiness through the eyes of Christ. “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 peter 2:9)
