As we are caught up in buying presents for loved ones, take a moment to look at your shoes.
The Christmas Shoes song (written by Eddie Carswell and the Leonard Ahlstrom of the Christian group NewSong) reminded us of a little boy who was determined to buy a special pair of shoes for his dying mother. By His faith he was able to purchase the shoes. God placed it upon a stranger’s heart to pay the difference.
As you look at your shoes, remember what the Christmas Shoe story. How?

- Walking and shopping in a spirit of empathy.
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God” (Ephesians 5:1-2, NIV).
